Van Hien University tops out HEC2 and breaks ground on
VHU30 complex
On August 10, 2026, Van Hien
University marked two major milestones in the development of HungHau Campus:
the topping-out of the HEC2 Practice-Based Learning Building and the
groundbreaking of the VHU30 Complex. The two projects reflect the University’s long-term
commitment to creating a modern, practice-oriented and internationally
connected learning environment.
The 15-storey HEC2 building, with
more than 47,000 square metres of floor space, is expected to welcome students
from the 2026–2027 academic year. Meanwhile, VHU30 Complex is scheduled for
completion in celebration of Van Hien University’s 30th anniversary on July 11,
2027.
HEC2 – A Modern Environment
for Learning and Practice
The topping-out ceremony
marked the completion of HEC2’s main structural works and the beginning of the
final construction phase. As one of the key developments at HungHau Campus, the
building is designed to support a wide range of teaching, learning, research
and academic activities.
Once completed, HEC2 will feature
modern classrooms, specialised practice facilities, spaces for graduation
project presentations, performing arts areas, dedicated workspaces for
professors, associate professors and doctoral-level faculty, as well as specialised
spaces for academic and creative activities.
More than an expansion of
physical infrastructure, HEC2 is designed to foster an engaging learning
environment where students can work with technology, participate in research
and innovation, and develop their capabilities through hands-on learning experiences.
VHU30 Complex – Strengthening University–Industry
Connections
Alongside the HEC2 topping-out
ceremony, Van Hien University officially broke ground on VHU30 Complex, another
major project in the University’s strategy to strengthen the connection between
academic learning and professional practice. The building is expected to be
completed in time for the University’s 30th anniversary in July 2027.
With more than 46,000 square
metres of floor space, VHU30 Complex will bring together a large auditorium,
fully digitally integrated classrooms, the Van Hien Museum Centre, and a Global
Enterprise Practice Centre within an integrated campus environment.
The new facility will enable
students to learn through real-world experiences, engage with emerging
technologies, participate in projects with businesses, and build professional
competencies while still at university. By bringing academic and professional
environments closer together, VHU30 Complex will help narrow the gap between
theory and practice.
HEC2 and VHU30 Complex are two of
five key projects under development at HungHau Campus. Together, these projects
are expected to create a more integrated and multifunctional university
environment for teaching, learning, research, knowledge transfer and campus
life.

The simultaneous development of
HEC2 and VHU30 Complex demonstrates Van Hien University’s continued investment
in educational quality. While HEC2 will strengthen the environment for academic
